Established in 2017.

Kiko FC was founded in 2017 with a simple ambition: to create a grassroots football club where young players could enjoy the game, develop their skills and reach their potential.

From the very beginning, the club was built around more than simply winning matches. Our focus was on creating a positive environment where players could learn, improve and develop a genuine love for football.

What started as a small grassroots club has continued to grow year after year, with player development remaining at the heart of everything we do.

Building the Foundations

As Kiko FC grew, so did the opportunities we could offer to young players. We expanded our teams and training provision, creating pathways for children to get involved with football from a young age and continue their journey through the different stages of their development. Alongside our competitive teams, we developed a wider range of football programmes, including development sessions, school coaching, after-school clubs and holiday camps. This allowed us to reach more children and, importantly, provide different routes into football depending on their age, ability and ambitions.

Developing Players

Player development has always been one of the defining features of Kiko FC. We believe that every player should be given the opportunity to improve, regardless of their starting ability. Our coaches aim to develop not only technical football skills, but also confidence, decision-making, teamwork and a positive attitude. Over the years, we have been proud to see players progress through the club and take the next steps in their football journeys. For us, success is not simply measured by trophies. Seeing a player improve, gain confidence, move into a stronger footballing environment or continue playing at a higher level is one of the biggest rewards of running the club.

Growing Into a Community Club

As Kiko FC continued to develop, the club became increasingly embedded within the local community. More teams were established, more players joined and a growing group of coaches, managers, volunteers and families became part of the Kiko FC family. The club has continued to evolve while maintaining the same core principles that were established when it was founded:

Develop. Educate. Inspire.

These three words continue to shape the way we coach, communicate and operate.

2024–25 — A Growing Club

The 2024–25 season represented another significant period of growth for Kiko FC. The club had 15 registered teams. There were also significant successes on the pitch, including league and cup achievements across our age groups. However, while trophies and results are important, the development of our players remained our greatest measure of success. The season demonstrated how far the club had come from its grassroots beginnings in 2017.

Today

From a grassroots club founded in 2017, Kiko FC has grown into a much larger football community. The numbers have changed. The teams have grown. The programmes have expanded. But the original purpose remains the same. To develop players, educate young people and inspire the next generation through football. Our biggest achievement is the players we have helped develop. Every player who has improved, every child who has gained confidence, every player who has progressed to a new level and every youngster who has simply fallen in love with football represents part of the Kiko FC story. And that story is still being written.

The Future

The next chapter of Kiko FC is about continuing to raise standards while retaining the grassroots values on which the club was founded. We want to give more young people the opportunity to play, develop and enjoy football, while creating an environment where coaches can grow and players can fulfil their potential. From our beginnings in 2017 to where we are today, Kiko FC has always been about people, development and opportunity. The journey so far has been special.

The best is still to come.
